Turin-based architectural firm, Marcante Testa, transformed an apartment in an early 20th-century building in Trieste’s historic district into a paragon of cosmopolitan culture. One of its most distinctive features is the prominent use of textiles, which are incorporated in different ways in each room. From a bespoke divider to a textile boiserie, these soft elements play a vital role in creating a comfortable and soothing environment that fosters a sense of tranquillity and contentment. The collaboration is a breathtaking example of how textiles can be brought into play as an architectural element.
