After a successful exhibition at Ventura New York at ICFF last spring, Aleksandra Gaca returns to the US to once again present her state-of-the-art, 3D woven textiles. Her textile creations will be on view from the 12th of September till the 20th of December at Colony, the designers’ co-op in SoHo, New York. Curated by Ventura Projects in collaboration with Colony, the exhibition will feature process-driven work from seven top Dutch designers, including Aleksandra Gaca.
Aleksandra Gaca will present her latest 3D textiles that unite experimental weaving techniques with her own sensuous approach to materials, colour, and pattern. On show a selection of Gaca’s iconic sound-absorbent textile panels ARCHITEXTILES and her most recent BLOKO cushion collection. ARCHITEXTILES fabrics RHOMBUS and BLOKO feature geometric structures in special colour combinations to provide a visual, tactile and auditory experience. BLOKO cushions excite the senses with their luxuriously tactile surfaces and a surprising gradient colour effect.
Aleksandra Gaca cordially invites you to the opening reception on Thursday 12 September from 18.00- 21.00.
